Download a course as an EPUB or PDF

School admins (the platform owner and brand admins) can take a course away as a book. Open the course under Teach, and next to Recording script use Download EPUB (for a Kindle via Send to Kindle, a Kobo, or Apple Books) or Download PDF (letter size, readable at 100%, printable).

The book is built from the published lessons the moment you click, so it matches what learners see; draft lessons stay out. Each lesson is a chapter in the EPUB and a section starting on a new page in the PDF, with the module as the running header. Quiz questions, check-yourself questions and recall cards sit in the lesson; their answers are collected at the end of the same lesson, so a reader can test themselves before looking. Images become their alt text, and in the PDF a link prints its address, since paper cannot be clicked.

Teachers who are not admins do not see the buttons. A long course (a hundred lessons or more) takes about half a minute to render as a PDF; the download starts when it is done.
